Arthur's withstands the most extreme test: the Thermo-Man Test10 seconds in a sea of flames at a temperature of 800 °C. Can the suit and its wearer survive this? The answer is yes, provided that the suit is made of high flame resistant fibres. The Basofil five-layer system underwent the baptism of fire and passed the Thermo-Man Test with flying colours. During the test, 122 sensors divided over the entire suit measure the pain and second or third degree burns that would be suffered by a person wearing the suit. The result: after 10 seconds in the sea of flames, the pain and burn wounds were less than 1%. That makes the Basofil five-layer system the first - and up to now the only - fire protective clothing that has gained the maximum score of 100 for this test.
